I guess you can call this a "preview" of my latest in the "Sports Illustrated" (S.I.) swimsuit series. It's Misty--of course! I was rather pleased with the way this turned out, so it's now my desktop.
It was a tough decision between "First Kiss" and III....
I'll be posting the final version--with a slight modification for 's upcoming contest really soon!
This is really nice! Her hair is great (especially the flower~!) and I like that when you draw swimsuit pics, it isn't the sort of drawing that makes a female viewer cringe. o^^.o The jewlery is a spiffy touch, too, and I think adds an interesting look to the outfit, as minimalist as swimming suits normally are.
Oh thank you! That's the look I'm going for--'cause she actually is supposed to be 19- 20-ish in the photo. It'll be clearer in the final version (non-desktop), but did you notice her left hand?

Thank again! I was torn between putting Misty in a one- or two-piece for this shot, but settled for the one...which I think worked out well. I added the "Pokeball-Puka Shell" neckless because the Pokeball used to be on the bustline of the swimsuit...then I decided to put a "Roxy Girl" logo there instead, but didn't want to not put in the Pokeball.
No offense to all the other swimsuit drawings by the fine (and "real") anime artists out there, whose work I really enjoy, but whenever I draw my Pokegirls in swimsuits, I want to make them look--how shall I put this? I want them to appear "innocently alluring"--that is, I'm going for sex-appeal without "skankiness" (if you know what I mean)!
BTW--I am chomping-at-the-bit to post the real S.I. Misty III...but there are 2-3 works in the queue ahead of it!

Ah, 2-3 works? You're a lot busier than I am right now. o^^.o I didn't notice that the puka shells had a Pokeball before, though, as unobservant as last-day-of-finals makes me. I had noticed the Horsea on the swimsuit, though, and thought that was the major Pokemon connection. The Pokeball is actually an even cuter detail than I'd thought the necklace originally was.
I noticed the ring as well... could it be that Ash finally came to his senses and proposed? He'd be stupid to let someone like her go... I look forward to your finished version of this, will give you a more detailed comment on that. I'm guessing a certain other swim pic is in your 2-3 pics ahead group, but that's only a guess...

We all have those kinda daze! Sometime the "devil in the details" of my work makes it a kinda "I spy/Where's Waldo?" affair. There's also one more teensy-weensie "detail" that I added...
And they'll be one more BLATANT one on the final version... to make it suitable (pun sem-intended) to enter 's. I could enter it "as is", because the beach background I took is "appropo!"
