The Senator from New York, former First Lady of the United States and Presidential Candidate was in San Jose, stumping for votes prior to the California Primaries (during "Super Tuesday") next week.
I've never heard the Senator speak live. The organizers said they were expecting 18,000 for this event. It looked like, and especially "sounded" like more. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. I did--however--share the platform with one of my mentors from the San Francisco Chronicle, Deanne Fitzmaurice... She won the Pulitzer Prize a a years ago.
I also ran into--literally-speaking, more than a few colleagues from when I was a full-time press photograher...
The best part--I didn't even have a press pass for this even, 'cause I didn't exprect to be shooting!

It's funny--because I was on the "secondary riser." The main riser--with all the video people and the rest of the photographers are actually behind Senator Clinton!
And yes--it was crowded. Once I was in my spot, I was "stuck!" Couldn't jump down (people below me) and couldn't move left, right or back!
